Colossians "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, .... and never forget to be thankful for what God has done for you."
One of the major purposes for ministries to children and youth, whether through church school, choirs or youth groups, is to create positive and enduring memories. Just as we are intentional about giving thanks to God each day for the amazing gift of life, we are to put loving and creative thought into making memories. It's the same with our families! Just imagine what would happen within our families if each of us decided to be more intentional about creating positive, enduring memories for one another? Would it mean a special time of bonding with one of our children? Would it be a family adventure vacation? Would it mean doing something we always wanted to do, like rafting the rapids or seeing our favorite team play? Or would it simply mean looking at the joys and stresses of each day in a new way, as one of God's brand new creations? May this be a season of memory making and giving thanks as we "never forget to be thankful for what God has done for us."
