Ephesians 6:13

“Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

What are we to think when buildings are destroyed, when many suffer, and when the loss of life is so great? This simple analogy from Ephesians is provided to remind us that in spite of immense tragedy around us, evil can never penetrate to the internal life of those who are in Christ. God has provided a spiritual protection which remains powerful even when everything material and human seems to have been destroyed. There is something more. It is the spiritual future which will survive and triumph, the future in which we and those we love will be secure.
