"I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek to do not my own will but the will of him who sent me." 

We search for excellence. We are eager to make things happen. We earnestly desire to serve God and neighbor. But Stop! Wait! Ponder for a time the healthy humility reflected in these words of Jesus. In the midst of busy days, it is good to remember that on our own we can do nothing.
