The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face to shine upon you,
and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
and give you shalom."

In times like these, the scriptures resonate with renewed vigor.  Clearly the issue of shalom - peace, harmony within individuals, between people and nations - is on our hearts, minds and national agendas.  Shalom - the blessing of God, will of God for earth's children - is our desire too.  May we study to know and pray to live that shalom may come to and through us in these days.
