Devotions - Psalm 46:1-2
"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear, even if earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!"
The writers of psalms were able to express trust and hope in God because of their great confidence that God would act in the present and the future the same way God had acted in the past. God creates life out of chaos and God delivers a people from bondage. So also will God create life anew and deliver us in this day or our uncertainty and fear. Read Psalm 46 and the hymn, "O God, Our Help in Ages Past."
