Revelation 14:13

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who from now on die in the Lord.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them.”

John’s visions included seven “beatitudes.” This one we especially treasure and often quote at the time of a Christian funeral. The seer hears an angelic proclamation that saints . . . who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to the faith of Jesus are redeemed by the Lamb of God and will spend eternity with the One who takes away the sin of the world! We shall be blessed indeed!
