In the
Kerygma Program,
"Leader" is preferred to teacher...
The leader being a learner among learners.
Kerygma currently offers 33 courses of study: foundational courses for in-depth study of the Bible whole, and shorter studies focusing on a particular theme, topic, or book of the Bible. Each course offers a Participant Resource Book and a Leader’s Guide.
The
Resource Book is for participants as well as the leader(s). The
Resource Book is written by a scholar in a "reader-friendly" style
and is used along with the Bible.
The Leader’s Guide is written by an educator to unpack the Resource
Book’s content into winning strategies for lively, interactive
sessions. Our Leader’s Guides suggest a rich variety of learning
strategies and offer multiple options for session planning. Leaders
can be clergy, educators or lay persons.
Our
most recent Leader’s Guides are offered on CD-ROM. Leaders will
appreciate being able to use their computer to copy and paste to
create a
customized lesson plan from the many activity choices suggested. We
will be offering the CD-ROM format on many of our older studies in
the near future. Print out available upon request.
Many studies include a DVD component for in-class use featuring "Meet the Author", video segments, and/or lesson planning enhancements and learning aids.
