John E. Mehl

Rev. Dr. John E. Mehl has been involved with the Kerygma Program since it began over forty -five years ago, serving in a variety of capacities. He was a graduate of Dartmouth College and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, where he and Dr. Rohrbaugh were classmates.  He also has earned degrees from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia (Th.M. in Biblical Studies) and the University of Pittsburgh (Ph.D. in Education).  

Across the years he taught undergraduates at Washington and Lee University, served several churches in Pittsburgh Presbytery, and was the Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary from 1985 to 2001.  In retirement he continued to preach and to lead adult education classes.
