Hallelujah: The Bible and Handel's Messiah

Sessions: 10
Includes: Resource Book for participants + Leader Material for study leaders.
Description

A unique study connecting Scripture and one of the most beloved works in Christian music.

Designed for both music lovers and students of Scripture, this study explores the biblical texts that form the foundation of Handel’s Messiah. Through careful examination of these passages, participants gain a deeper understanding of the scriptural message behind this beloved work.

With four sessions focused on Advent texts and six sessions on Lenten texts, the study may be offered as two seasonal courses or as a single ten-session experience. Ideal for congregations and community groups, Hallelujah creates meaningful connections between Scripture, worship, and the shared experience of music.

Recommended: Listening to a recording of Messiah enhances the study experience. A 2-CD Chicago Symphony version is available for use alongside this course.
